On November 14-16, the XVII International Forum and Exhibition "Transport of Russia" took place in the Moscow Gostiny Dvor. These events are held annually on the initiative of the Ministry of Transport of Russia with the traditional participation of representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, members of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, as well as heads of leading transport enterprises. The central theme of this year is "Russia 2035: towards a New Transport Economy". A separate stand was allocated in the media zone of the exhibition for Railway Research Institute publications and issues of Railway Science Journal. About 200 books of 22 titles published by the Institute were presented. Publications on railway construction, problems of track and track management, and the economics of transport were in great demand. The large volumes of the series "Generalisation of the world experience of the heavy-load traffic" edited by Sergey M. Zakharov aroused constant interest. Meeting with readers is an exciting moment. University teachers, employees of the Ministry of Transport, Zheldornadzor, and research organisations came to our stand and were actively interested in our publications. Communication with readers showed that they lack literature on logistics, passenger traffic– modern rolling stock, for example, double-decker cars and trains of the "Swallow" type, operation, maintenance and repair. There is a very high interest in the operation of high-speed railway (HSR) lines. Almost all the literature and journals brought to the exhibition found their readers; the experience of presenting Railway Research Institute publications at the XVII International Forum and Exhibition "Transport of Russia" was successful. |
