Russian Railway Science Journal successfully passed expert review in the Engineering and Technical Sciences group, thus getting in the RSCI core and RSCI database. The selection of the journals is carried out by experts of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Today abstract database RSCI is de-facto alternative to Scopus and Web of Science for the national segment of science.

 Currently there are only eight journals in the RSCI database on the topic of Transport, and Russian Railway Science Journal is ranked among the leading journals in the list.

The RSCI database includes the best Russian journals: as of November 2024, there were only 1.014 journals on all scientific topics. The inclusion of the Russian Railway Science Journal in this limited list of the most reputable publications indicates recognition of its high scientific level.

The articles published in our journal give the authors the opportunity to apply for grants from the Russian Science Foundation and other grant donors. This is also important for applicants for doctoral degrees, as publications in a highly rated journal are especially considered by dissertation councils.
