From 12 to March 14 in city on Neva River were successfully carried out St. Petersburg Technical Fair and the High Technology.

In this year fairs hosted more than 200 participants from number of countries, there were Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Republic of Belarus, Poland, India, Turkey, China, Greece and Russia. Exhibitors presented their good and developments in the line of: «Metal treatment. Machine building», «Metallurgy, Foundry practice», «Fasteners. Hardware. Tool» and «Industrial innovations». Traditionally on the same place were carried XIII St. Petersburg Partneriat for SME’s « Regional Industry: from specialization to integration». 

For the first time, in the frame of Fair HI-TECH and Partneriat there was organized special sector Industrial Startup Village. There were presented innovative projects from companies, techno-parks and business incubators. Developers obtained possibility to demonstrate their projects to investors and authorities. In general at the Industrial Startup Village were 10 projects.

The official opening ceremony of the St. Petersburg Technical Fair and the High Technology. Innovations. Investments (HI-TECH) Expo took place on March 12. The ceremony was attended by принял участие Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

This year for the first time on Fair worked new exclusive service Business Networking. There took place representatives of exhibitors on the decision making level.
All participants were introduced to each other and got an opportunity to tell about their business. 
Participants noted the efficiency from noted the productivity of communication in the new format. 

The business program of St. Petersburg Partneriat in this year included special session «How to provide technological leadership of St. Petersburg industry» and conferences «Creation of a new generation of domestic materials processing technologies - the basis for the successful implementation of the strategy «Industry 4.0», «Digitalization of manufacturing: smart, conveying and production lines. Solutions…», «Hi-tech innovations in the epoch of digital transformations», «Innovations control at industrial enterprises», «Creation of unite ecosystem for searching, development and putting into operation youth projects for technological enterprise».

On 12 March with the Russian Engineering Union and the Foundry Workers' Association of St. Petersburg was organized session «How provide technological leadership of St. Petersbug’s industry». Mr. M. Lodin Director General of executive directorate the Russian Engineering Union and the Foundry Workers' Association of St. Petersburg moderated this session.

On 13 March with the Association «Cluster of Machine Tool Industry of St. Petersburg» was a conference « Creation of a new generation of domestic materials processing technologies - the basis for the successful implementation of the strategy «Industry 4.0». With opening speech spoke Mr. A. Yakovlev, Mr. V. Smetana, Mr. A. Petrov and Mr. A. Lobin.

At the end of plenary meeting. There was a signing of Cooperation Agreement between Association «Cluster of Machine Tool Industry of St. Petersburg» and the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.

The conference «Fasteners. Quality.  Responsibility» took place on 13-14 March where participated more than 70 specialists.

In total more than 1000 specialists took part in business activities.

Additional bonus for participants was in awards «The best innovative project and research-technical development of the year». Participation in this award will give a possibility to assert themselves. 

Award Ceremony took place on 14 March. The prize of the Grand Prix was won by the JSC «Scientific and Production Enterprise» Compensator for the project «Design and production of bellows expansion joints for various industries».

The final day of the Fair exhibition was declared the Day of the Young Specialist. For students of technical universities and students of secondary vocational institutions were organized tours of the exhibition exposition and acquaintance with the most interesting stands. Students learned about the experience of modern production and became better acquainted with their specialties. The day of the young specialist was a great success. The event was attended by more than 400 students from educational institutions of St. Petersburg and Novgorod.
