The impact factor is the most important indicator for a scientific journal. It shows the degree of citation of published articles.

It is considered that authoritative publications should have a two-year impact factor above 0.5. Therefore the influence of the Russian Railway Science Journal" is obviously growing.

Moreover, this growth was achieved due to external citation, not self-citation, which has decreased to minimum values over the past five years:

Over the past 2021, we managed to attract 51 new authors, and the average h-index of authors is the largest in the history of the journal:

The number of downloads of articles per year and the probability of citation after reading are also record-breaking:

In 2021, for the first time, reviews of the Russian Railway Science Journal  (at least two reviews for each article) began to be uploaded to the RSCI, which indicates a strict system for selecting articles. A total of 43 reviews were uploaded last year:

All of the above suggests that Russian Railway Science Journal  has become a leader among Russian industry journal and is ready to compete with leading foreign railway journals.
